Reworking a Steel Icon

Soot, an American Imperial Stout, pays tribute to Birmingham’s steel heritage with bold flavors and a complex malt bill. The redesigned label preserves the iconic Sloss Furnaces imagery while introducing a textured wood engraving-inspired background. This reimagined design was seamlessly incorporated into the updated label template I developed for Back Forty Beer Co., blending historical homage with a modern, cohesive aesthetic.
